"Blue Light Special" was inspired by a group of images I was given from a past coworkeer who enjoyed my fascination with the female body as an art form. I showed the images to a man I was seeing and he was drawn to one featuring a woman in bright magenta bent backwards into a light source you couldn't see. I took the image and added my own flair and turned the painting a shade of aquatic blue. This painting was fun to create. The first sketch I did of it was in the airport. I had people around me very curious as we waited to board our flights.
